Chae Soo-bin Talks Nephew’s Debut on “When The Phone Rings”: I Chose Him, Our Chemistry is the Best
On January 8, actress Chae Soo-bin has an interview with SPOTV News, where she discussed her nephew’s appearance on the K-drama “When The Phone Rings”.
In particular, regarding the experience of filming with her nephew, Chae Soo-bin said, “I made such good memories with my nephew. There was a scene where a baby was crying and I was singing to comfort him, and I thought, ‘Is that my nephew?’, so I asked the director if the baby has been cast and he said not yet.“
“So I showed him a picture of my nephew and asked him, ‘What do you think of this guy?’ He ended up putting my nephew in the series”, the actress added.
According to Chae Soo-bin, her nephew stayed silent while with her grandma, mom, and dad, but cried when she held him, which was actually good because he had to cry in his scene.
“As expected, when I held him, he cried. My mom took him to sleep and put him to sleep. Once he fall asleep, he doesn’t wake up. Our acting chemistry was the best,” she also stated, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Finally, the actress revealed, “At home, my mom is the boss. I was worried so I said, ‘Mom, how about letting your nephew appear on the show?’ but she said it was great and my older sister and brother-in-law also really liked it,” before making everyone laugh by saying, “He has to experience how hard his aunt works to earn money.”
